Our foundational marble workshop consists of the basics in making a perfectly round sphere (marbles!). The instructor will demonstrate solid color marbles and move into combining colors and decor. If time permits, there’s an opportunity to further develop your skills creating round shapes, as well as learning some clever, artistic patterns and techniques that are a bit more challenging.

Marbles is the third class in our Foundations series. At least one of our Foundation courses is recommended (not required), before signing up for Intro to Blowing Glass on a Torch and our Intro to Sculpting Glass on a Torch. We would like each student to have some familiarity with glass before signing up for these two workshops. But again, it is not required and you are more than welcome to sign up for any of the 5 courses we have available!

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT CLASS: If you do decide to register, you’ll need to know/bring the following:

* A pair of UV-protected sunglasses

* Tie your hair back if it’s long

* Wear comfortable, cotton clothing (synthetics are flammable) and closed-toe shoes

* Bring a bottle of water

As a general rule of thumb, please do not come to class if you know you are sick or running a fever.

PICKING UP YOUR WORK: Glass needs to cool properly so there’s a 24 hour wait time for pick up. Any work left at the studio after 30 days will be considered abandoned. For the sake of keeping our small studio spacious and organized, abandoned items will be discarded appropriately.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition IS refundable up to 24 hours before the scheduled class date…at which time the entire amount becomes NON-REFUNDABLE. Please make note of this.
